Privacy
What we keep, and why.
This site sets no cookies and runs no trackers. We keep the least we can to run the demo and the accounts service, and to protect them from abuse.
The public demo
For each request to the demo (demo.mcpdata.org, through the published key or your own) we record:
- the time, what was called and how long it took, and whether it was refused;
- your network, not your address: the first three parts of an IPv4 address (a /24) or the first three of an IPv6 one (a /48);
- a daily code made from your full address with a secret that changes every day, so we can count how many different visitors used the demo that day. It can't be turned back into the address, and the same visitor gets a different code the next day;
- your country, as our network provider (Cloudflare) reports it;
- which AI app made the request (its own name, such as Claude or Cursor), which tool it used and which table it read.
We never record what you searched for: no filter values, no SQL, no results. Each request's record is kept for 30 days and then deleted; after that only daily totals remain (requests, visitors, refusals by app, country and tool), with nothing that identifies anyone.
Accounts, invites and sign-up
If you request an invite or sign up, we keep your email address (and, for an invite request, what you told us you'd like to do and the address the request came from), so we can reply and run your account. Signed-in accounts have a sign-in history (time and address) for security. We email you only about your account or invite.
Why
To run the demo and the service, keep them fast for everyone, and stop abuse (our legitimate interests under UK GDPR). Anything else, such as telling you when sign-up opens, only if you've asked for it.
Who sees it
Only the people who operate mcpdata. We don't sell or share it. Two services handle it on our behalf: Cloudflare carries the traffic to this site and the demo, and Resend delivers the emails we send.
Deleting it
Ask at [email protected] and we'll delete what we hold about you, or tell you what it is. The demo's daily codes can't be traced back to you, so there's nothing there to find.
